Do not place boxes directly on concrete floors, use palettes to prevent moisture absorption.
Plastic Tubs
Use plastic tubs instead of cardboard boxes to store paper items or clothes.
Mattresses should be covered
...and not stored directly on concrete, allow breathing room.
Covers
Use protective covers for furniture storage and allow air in between surfaces.
Leather
We do not recommend storing leather furniture during the summer months as it tends to sweat which can cause mold.
Gas and Oil
Drain all gasoline and oil from small engine items
Clothing
Do not use trash bags to store clothing or cloth material
Valuable Items
Store more valuable items toward the back of a storage unit.
Insurance
You should be aware that storage companies insurance only covers $50.00 for damage or theft of any units contents, you should add your value of your contents onto your homeowners insurance policy.
